Make Your Own Spaghetti Sauce
This mixture of spices added to a can of tomatoes makes a good quick spaghetti sauce. When time is scarce, and dinnertime is near, this mix plus a handful of spaghetti will be a quick answer to your problems.
•1/4 C. celery salt
•1 TBLSP dried Basil
•l TBLSP oregano
•1 TBLSP dried parsley
•1 TBLSP garlic powder
•1 tsp salt
•1 TBLSP sugar
•1 TBLSP pepper

Combine ingredients and store them in a tightly closed container. Shake before using. Mix will keep up to 6 months (put a date on the label!) on the pantry shelf.

TO USE: Combining 1/4 Cup of mix with one 8 ounce can chopped tomatoes or tomato sauce. Simmer, covered, for 30 minutes.

Other ideas: Sprinkle a tablespoon of the mix onto a plain lettuce salad to add flavor, or combine the mix with one cup of sour cream for a quick dip for chips.
